Cosmiques Couloir (D 45°-50°) and Envers du Plan (AD 40°)

Posted: February 13, 2010 in Ski

Brendan and i decided to head up to the Cosmiques yesterday after the recent snow fall. We used the rond entrance although the top is getting better filled now, The snow in the couloir varied and was mostly a bit wind affected. It got better once out of the couloir in which we skied an alternative, slightly steeper exit. The snow from the old mid station untill the tunnel was perfect and we carried on to town. We were back at the Midi at 12pm so decided to head up for another blast down.

We skied the Envers du plan but it was unfortunatly pretty tacked, thats Chamonix for you! My legs were killing by the bottom and i was sking like a punter as its only my second day in 6 weeks due to a fractured wrist. Still made it home for 3pm though and went to work for a few hours. Below are some pictures from the Cosmiques, click for full size.
